WELCOME TO OUR BREWERY & TAPROOM!

Located on Main Street in Hudson's Historic Downtown Business District

Medusa Brewing Company opened to the public in March of 2015 on Main Street in Hudson, MA. Since then, Head Brewer Keith Antul has been hard at work handcrafting ales and lagers that reflect the global landscape of beer. From beautifully constructed American-style ales to traditional European-inspired recipes, Medusa Brewing Company strives to provide for the ultimate variety in our draft selection.

Our brewery and taproom are the result of a staggering, 15-month buildout that had owners and friends working around the clock to complete their vision. An enormous 50-foot bar constructed of salvaged steel and white oak acts as the centerpiece of the taproom. The Beer Hall provides for a more formal area where guests can enjoy full-service ordering while seated at hand-built mahogany wood tables. We invite you to come and enjoy what we have, and will continue to create. Cheers!

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $6 | 16 oz. $7

CITRA LEGACY

Rye IPA - 7.0%

This IPA gets its huge, citrus hop-punch from (surprise) Citra and Legacy hops! A healthy addition of malted rye adds a subtle spicy touch.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

CONFECTOR

Foreign Export Stout aged on Cocoa Nibs - 6.3%

This rich, full-bodied stout was fermented with our Yorkshire yeast strain, and then aged on cocoa nibs from Ghana for prominent overtones of chocolate.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

LUMINARY

Cream Ale - 5.6%

Crisp, and refreshing. A light-bodied ale, brewed with German Pilsner malt, organic brown rice, and German Mandarina Bavaria hops.

5 oz. $2 | 13 oz. $4 | 16 oz. $5 ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $7 | 64 oz. $13

DUCHOVNI

Czech Pils - 5.5%

2016 World Beer Cup Gold Medal Winner!
Our rendition of a classic Bohemian-style pils. This straw-colored lager is dry, quaffable, and liberally hopped with Czech Saaz for a bit of bite.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

ACTIVATE! (COLOMBIA)

Coffee Porter - 6.6%

We’ve taken a robust porter and infused it with locally roasted coffee from our friends at Union Coffee Roasters, in Ayer, MA. This batch features their freshly roasted Colombia, described as having notes of honey, chamomile,  black tea, plum, and grape.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

HIDDEN CITY

American IPA - 7.0%

This hoppy concoction prominently features El Dorado hops, lending distinct tropical fruit character, while Mosaic and Citra provide a background of citrus and herbal notes.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

ISLAND OF MISFIT HOPS

Hoppy Amber Rye- 7.1%

The leftover hops from bygone batches find a home in this uniquely formulated amber ale series that's never hopped the same way twice. Malt-forward but decidedly hoppy, this round features Amarillo, Simcoe, Apollo, and Tardif de Bourgogne varieties. We've also incorporated plenty of malted and roasted rye from Valley Malt, in Hadley, MA.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

SIR TERRY

English Dark Mild - 4.2%

A traditional English session ale, mild in strength but not in flavor. Layers of toasty, biscuity malt with a gentle note of cocoa in the background.

5 oz. $2 | 13 oz. $4 | 16 oz. $5 ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $7 | 64 oz. $13

SOLO PROJECT: GALAXY

Single Hop American Pale Ale - 5.4%

Our single hop Solo Project series of American Pale Ales, featuring Australian Galaxy, a variety well known for its citrus and passionfruit character.

5 oz. $3 | 13 oz. $5 | 16 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $8 | 64 oz. $15

BLACK FLOWERS

Dark Saison - 6.7%

Careful additions of coriander and whole star anise flowers to the kettle have yielded a smooth, silky character to this saison's traditional notes of fruit, spice, and pepper.  Modest amounts of intense crystal malt and German Carafa give this farmhouse ale its unconventionally darker hue.

5 oz. $2 | 14.75 oz. $5 ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $7 | 64 oz. $13

RANSOM NOTE

American Barleywine - 10.2%

Quite strong but rather smooth, this rich amber ale was aggressively hopped in the kettle with Apollo, Meridian, and El Dorado.  Firmly bitter, with Patagonian caramel malts in balance with a deceptively gentle alcohol heat.

5 oz. $3 | 10.5 oz. $6    ♦     Growler Fills:  32 oz. $11 | 64 oz. $21

TAPROOM POLICIES

BYOF – We utilize the Bring Your Own concept when it comes to food. Feel free to treat your visit like a picnic to the park, but with beer! There are many options available for take-out or delivery as well, so feel free to indulge in Hudson's culinary options during your visit to Medusa.

Kid Friendly – While Medusa is a kid friendly establishment, we ask that you use your best judgement when planning a visit with children. At 6pm, we begin to follow a 21+ policy.

No Dogs – We previously attempted to maintain a "Dog Friendly" atmosphere in our taproom, but unfortunately a number of uncomfortable, unhealthy, and possibly dangerous experiences led us to end this offering.

NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL – While we do allow outside food to be brought in, the Town of Hudson does not allow alcoholic beverages of any kind to be brought into our taproom. This includes wine, beer, and spirits.

Growlers – All of our beer is initially available in growlers as well as draft. Check our Draft List for current growler availability. In accordance with MA state law, we do not currently fill any growlers that are not our own. We do not allow filled growlers to be consumed on premise.

Large Group or Event? – We like to maintain a first-come first-serve plan when it comes to seating at Medusa; however, we can work with you for accommodating special events/occasions for large groups. Use our Contact page for further inquiry.
